165. By oneself the evil is done, by oneself one suffers; by oneself evil is left undone, by oneself one is purified.
Purity and impurity belong to oneself, no one can purify another.
내가 악행을 하면 스스로 더러워지고 내가 선행을 하면 스스로 깨끗해진다.
그러니 깨끗하고 더러움은 내게 달린 것 아무도 나를 깨끗하게 해줄 수 없다.
惡自受罪 善自受福 亦各須熟 彼不相代
악자수죄 선자수복 역각수숙 피불상대
