[Speaking] (NQ-013) Justices rule LGBT people protected from job discrimination

“An employer who fires an individual for being homosexual or transgender fires that person for traits or actions it would not have questioned in members of a different sex,” Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote for the court. “Sex plays a necessary and undisguisable role in the decision, exactly what Title VII forbids.”
* employer = 고용주, 고용인/ fire = 해고하다/ trait = (성격상의) 특성/ question = (특히 공식적으로) 질문하다, 심문하다, 설문 조사하다/ justice = 판사, 재판관/ play a role (in ~) = (~에서) 역할을 하다/ undisguisable = 변장[위장]할 수 없는, 숨길[속일] 수 없는/ forbid = ~을 어렵게[못 하게] 하다
