1. Curiosity often seems greatest during the early years of childhood. The normal child is puzzled by many things around him, and he turns to his parents to satisfy his curiosity.
* curiosity = 호기심/ normal = 보통의/ puzzle = 혼란시키다/ turn to ~ = ~에 의존하다/ satisfy = 충족시키다
(해석) 호기심은 어린 유년 시절에 가장 왕성해 보인다. 보통의 어린이는 주변의 많은 것에 혼란을 느낀다. 그래서 그는 자기의 호기심을 충족시키기 위해 부모에게 의존한다(부모에게 묻는다).

* disappoint = 실망하다/ receive = 영접하다
