Last week, Politico reported that Representative Michele Bachmann, a Republican from Minnesota, had become a Swiss citizen in March, a month after her husband, Marcus, the son of Swiss immigrants, registered with the Swiss consulate. After taking some heat in conservative circles for her dual allegiance, she withdrew her Swiss citizenship. Can dual citizens be good Americans? Should dual citizenship be allowed?
